Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated® Xi Theta Omega Chapter and The Arlington Foundation for Excellence in Education are proud to partner with The Arlington ISD Parent and Community Engagement Department to host the 2025 Family Expo Resource Fair.  

Family Expo events have consisted of over 700 people attending this free family-centered event featuring over 75 exhibitors that will provide summer resources and opportunities for students and their families to thrive, finish out the school year strong, and prepare for next year.  

This year’s featured vendor, Snapology, immerses kids in FUN learning experiences with hands-on STEAM activities that spark curiosity, foster teamwork, confidence and problem-solving skills.  

Scholarships will also be presented to well-deserving students driven to further their educational aspirations. 

Exhibitors from the community will be available to provide educational materials in the areas of health, education, financial planning, and so much more.  The Arlington Family Expo is an extraordinary educational event open to the public and families throughout the metroplex. We hope you will attend and help spread the word about the upcoming Family Expo.

Youth Education Success (YES!) Summit

The Arlington Foundation for Excellence in Education in partnership with the Xi Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated ® and University of Texas at Arlington Trio Pre-College Programs is hosting the annual Youth Education Success (YES!) Summit, which is now in its 20th year.

This unique, complimentary, teen-focused summit provides valuable educational workshops and resources to over 750 youth in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. YES! Summit will address today’s growing need for life skills, STEM career awareness, and educational preparedness.

The 2024 YES! Summit will be held in person on Saturday, October 12, 2024, for students in grades 6-12. The YES! Summit will provide students with an opportunity to network with their peers and attend a variety of workshops on leadership and self-sufficiency for academic and personal success. Potential student workshop topics for the YES! Summit include STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) awareness and education, college preparation, and self-development. This year’s YES! Summit will also feature a College Fair, where students will be able to meet with representatives from various colleges and universities. High school seniors will have an opportunity to apply for scholarships offered by the Arlington Foundation for Excellence in Education.

Parents will be able to register for the YES! Summit, and attend valuable workshops with topics addressing financial literacy, mental health strategies, and more.

Attendees can attend this complimentary event and enter exciting giveaways. The goal of the YES! Summit is for the Arlington and surrounding communities’ youth to be inspired and imagine the possibilities.
